One application, six stages, and who does what.
This page walks from your first message to your first lecture, stage by stage: what you do, and what we do.
It starts with a free call.
Thirty minutes by video, with your parents if you want them there. We ask about your school results, the subjects you want, the cities you would consider and the budget the family has in mind. By the end you know whether Italy is realistic for you, which kind of programs fit, and what a plan would cost. If it is not the right fit, we say so on the call.

Counselling
You: tell us what you enjoy, what you are good at and where you see yourself in ten years, with your parents in the call if you like.
Learnium: a counselling session on the degree itself: which program fits your grades and your plans, what it leads to, and whether Italy is the right country for it. Only then do we talk about universities.
The shortlist
You: tell us your results, your subjects and your budget, and send your transcripts.
Learnium: a written shortlist of English-taught programs that fit. For each one: the entrance test it uses, the places it offers to non-EU students, the fee band and an honest read of your chances. We never list a program we could not explain choosing.
The test
You: sit the test your programs require, on the date we agree.
Learnium: tell you which test and which sitting, walk you through the registration step by step, and, for the IMAT, tutor you if you choose tutoring. Some programs need no test; we tell you that too.
The application
You: gather the documents on your list as we ask for them.
Learnium: prepare each application in the university's own portal and check every document against the call. For non-EU applicants we also complete the Universitaly pre-enrolment. Every date goes on one calendar you can see.
The visa
You: attend the appointment and the interview.
Learnium: build the visa file line by line against the embassy's own list and check the financial documents it asks for. Then we practise the interview with you until nothing in it is new.
Before you fly
You: pack, book, and ask us anything.
Learnium: before you leave, walk you and your family through the first weeks in order: enrolment at the university, the residence permit application, the tax code, health cover, and what to carry in your hand luggage. You land knowing what comes first.
How early to start.
Italian admissions run on the universities' calendars. Calls for applications open in the autumn and winter before an October start, and the earliest windows close in November. Entrance tests run from the winter to September, depending on the test. Visa appointments need the admission letter first. Eight to twelve months before the intake is comfortable. With less time, tell us on the first call and we will say what is still possible for that year and what should wait for the next.
The admissions year at a glanceWhat our fee covers, and what it does not.
Our fee covers
- Career counselling
- University selection
- University applications
- Universitaly pre-enrolment
- Visa file preparation, appointment booking and interview practice
- Guidance once you land in Italy
- IMAT tutoring (optional)
Paid separately
- University tuition and fees
- Visa and embassy fees
- Translations, legalisation and apostille
- Travel
- Housing
The fee. Every family receives a written quote after the first call and a written contract before any payment.
What is never on the invoice: university tuition and fees, visa and embassy fees, translations, legalisation and apostille, travel and housing. You pay those directly to the university, the embassy or the provider, and we tell you when each one is due.
You can see where your application stands.
We keep your file in the Learnium portal. It shows the stage your file is at, the documents we have and the ones we are waiting for, and every deadline on your calendar. What we filed with each university is there too. When a university or an embassy changes a date, we change it on your calendar and tell you.
The next step is a conversation, not a contract.
Answer a few short questions and a mentor replies in the chat with what applies to you.
